EJ (EunJung) Park is a jazz vocalist, pianist, composer and educator. EJ was born in South Korea where she began formal music study at the age of five. After graduating from National University of Cheon-nam as a piano major, she attended Dong Ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA) to study voice. In 2011 EJ's love for jazz and her commitment to artistic growth led her to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she received a Master of Music in Jazz Studies degree in 2013. Since graduating, EJ has performed extensively, singing both jazz and gospel music. In addition to completing an eight-state tour of the east coast, she has performed at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia (2016) and the Jane Pickens Theater in Newport, Rhode Island. Recent performances include appearances at Birdland, Jazz Gallery and Rockwood in New York City. Based in Philadelphia, she has performed locally at Chris's Jazz Cafe, the Academy of Music and Paris Bistro. She is currently on the faculty at the University of the Arts where she teaches voice and piano.
