At the age of 26, Pittsburgh-born, New York-based Jazz musician Benny Benack III has been hailed by Nate Chinen of the New York Times as “a charismatic young trumpeter who maintains an earnest sideline as a singer". As a dual-threat, he’s quickly established himself as one of the most versatile and virtuosic voices of his generation. He first made his mark internationally through competitions, highlighted by winning the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Soloist Competition (2011), and being a Finalist for the prestigious Thelonius Monk International Jazz Competition (2014). After placing in a number of US vocal competitions as well (Gentleman Sing, Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival), the stage was set for his bright career.

Victor North

Having moved to the East Coast over 30 years ago, saxophonist Victor North has been a staple on the Philadelphia Jazz Scene for 25 plus years, leading his own groups, hosting countless jam session at Chris' Jazz Cafe over the years, and working as a sideman throughout the Tri-State area. Currently a member of Joey DeFrancesco’s “Philly Trio”, since August of 2018, Victor has performed and/or recorded with Orrin Evans’ Captain Black Big Band, Elio Villafranca, Charles Fambrough, John Swana, Terell Stafford, Mickey Roker, Duane Eubanks, among others, and recently performed at New York City’s famed, Blue Note Jazz Club, as a new member of Odean Pope’s Saxophone Choir. Victor can also be heard on Lucas Brown’s recently released CD, Skyviews and will be back at Chris' Jazz Cafe again on Thanksgiving Weekend with Joey DeFrancesco.

Anais Reno

At age 17, Anaïs has been artistically very active, involved in the performing arts since age 8. After winning the 2016 Forte International Competition’s Platinum Award at Carnegie Hall, Anaïs won Second Place at Michael Feinstein’s Great American Song Book Academy competition in the summer of 2018 being, at 14, the youngest contestant ever, First Place at the Mabel Mercer Foundation competition, in New York. in March of 2019, at age 15. In 2020, she won the Julie Wilson award and in November 2021, and has just been announced as one of the finalists for Young Arts in jazz voice out of 3 voice finalists nationwide.
