Andrea Carlson and the Love Police

Born in Tennessee, Andrea Carlson moved all around the country growing up. In high school, the family settled in Chicago, and she attended college there too. First, she was a student of Fine Art at Columbia College. Later, she transferred to the American Conservatory of Music, where she earned her BM in Classical Guitar. A singer and lover of jazz, Andrea moonlighted as a vocalist throughout her studies with several different bands, doing music from the 20s, 30s, and 40s. This continued for 10 years, and she was able to perform in many of the top venues and festivals -- a highlight was opening for the one and only James Brown!

Exquisite 20th century jazz vocals, with quartet, from the Golden Era of the American
Songbook and French Chanson, and award-winning originals.
"Carlsons’ words... witty, funny and full of life. A delight to the ear in which they touch down."
- Guy Zinger, AdoreJazz on 1.FM, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
“The first time I heard Andrea Carlson, I was in love."
- Charlie Silvestri, Up Close and Acoustic, Delaware Valley, USA
