Ian is a saxophonist, woodwind doubler, composer and educator based in the Philadelphia area. He has played his original music at Smalls Jazz Club, Chris' Jazz Cafe, and various clubs around Japan. His debut record, "Glasswork," is the culmination of years of writing instrospective jazz and honing it with live performances around the greater Philadelphia area. During this time Ian attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and there fostered his creative sensibilities while freelancing and teaching privately. He credits Mike Kennedy with getting him started in writing, and Ron Kerber with helping to piece things together.
