Saxophonist Ken Fowser’s New York Showcase with vocalists, Joy Brown & Lucy Yeghizarian

New York based tenor saxophonist, Ken Fowser, has quickly developed a reputation as one of the finest jazz musicians of his generation. While building upon a strong foundation steeped in the jazz tradition, Fowser continues to develop his own unique voice and style as a saxophonist and composer. Mostly noted for his full bodied tone, linear approach to jazz harmony and commitment to swing, Ken has already made a name for himself among local and international jazz audiences alike.

Lucy Yeghiazaryan

Lucy Yeghiazaryan was born in Armenia to a family of artists. Since immigrating to the United States in 2001, she has been an active member of the jazz community in and outside of the country. As a teenager she attended NJPAC's Jazz for Teens programs under the direction on Don Braden on a full scholarship. She graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in Jazz Performance.In addition to her work as a straight-ahead jazz vocalist, Lucy plays violin and sings in the acapella group YY Sisters who perform medieval Armenian/ modern folk music and enjoy wide recognition within the Armenian community. Lucy served as a resident vocalist for the National Armenian Jazz Orchestra for various performance seasons and was one of the ten finalists selected for the prestigious International Monk Jazz Competition in 2015.

Pat Bianchi

Currently living in NYC, Pat Bianchi is one of the most in-demand jazz organists on the scene today. As a sideman, Bianchi has performed with a “who’s who” of venerable greats, including Lou Donaldson, Joey DeFrancesco, George Benson, Harvey Mason, Javon Jackson, Mark Whitfield and Terell Stafford. Pat has also had the distinct opportunity to perform on a regular basis with his mentor Joey DeFrancesco, playing both keyboards and organ.

Currently Bianchi tours with both The Lou Donaldson Quartet and Pat Martino Trio. He is also a member of saxophonist Tim Warfield’s organ quartet; co-leads the Unity Project, a tribute to Larry Young, with drummer Ralph Peterson Jr.; and often performs nationally with his own trio and quartet. He has also released two CDs as a leader: East Coast Roots (Jazzed Media) and Back Home, which was recently released by Doodlin’ Records.
