Tyler Henderson Trio - Album Release: "Love Endures”
Tyler Henderson began playing piano at age 5. He was inspired to play piano seriously upon hearing the work of famous pianists Bill Evans and Vince Guaraldi. Tyler then moved with his family to Houston, Texas, upon his acceptance into the prestigious High School For Performing and Visual Arts.
In Houston, Tyler had the pleasure of playing with Wynton Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis, Sean Jones, Don Braden, and was encouraged by masters such as Barry Harris, Javon Jackson, and Robert Glasper through his participation in incredible programs such as YoungArts and the Thelonious Monk Institute All-Star Tour.
He arrived in New York in 2019 to attend Juilliard, and was mentored by Ted Rosenthal and Geoffrey Keezer. While he was in school, he began working as a sideman with legendary musicians such as Joe Magnarelli, Bruce Harris, Rodney Green, and Grant Stewart.
He received his masters degree and currently collaborates with musicians at New York venues such as Smalls, Dizzy’s, the Django, and more.
