Chris Oatts Quintet

The Amsterdam Collective is a band consisting of five young jazz musicians that are in the exchange program at Temple University. Although the group met each other at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, everyone originates from different areas of the world. Martín Díaz (alto saxophone) and Joan Fort (guitar) were both born in Barcelona, Spain. Philip Lewin’s (bass) origins trace from Germany and Nitin Parree (drums) as well as Frank Groenendijk (tenor saxophone) are from the Netherlands. Because everyone is so well versed in improvisational styles of music, they’ve bonded and formed their own collective, which allows them to share their own creative musical perspective.

Chris Oatts, sax

Joe Anderson, trumpet

Tim Brey, piano

Sam Harris, bass

Anwar Marshall, drums
