Matt Kahn Quintet

Matt Kahn is a guitarist based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He first began playing guitar at the age of nine years old in Toms River, New Jersey where he grew up. Since then, Matt has played all over the east coast with his band, Career Opportunities, and with other acts located in areas ranging from New York all the way down to Key West.

Along with playing legendary venues such as The Stone Pony in New Jersey and Sloppy Joe’s in Key West, Matt has performed pre-shows at Xfinity Live in Pennsylvania with Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns for the late Tom Petty and Neil Diamond. He also performed frequently with Shorty Long during busy summer nights at the Beachcomber in Seaside Heights, NJ.

Despite dedicating his time to teaching others, Matt is currently continuing his music education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He considers himself a life-long learner and uses his ever-growing knowledge to instruct his students during their private lessons. Matt’s original music and collaborative efforts may be heard around the world on most streaming platforms, including Spotify and iTunes.
